07-19-2026 - On my desk, I see a circular for a program I recently received. This particular circular is complete with pics of fancy cars, boats, and planes. Poor copies tell me this person has yet to make enough money to buy these cars, boats, and planes. I don't mean to be negative, but these things stand out like a thumb that's been beaten with a hammer. But these gimmicks work because many people block out those danger signals because they want a taste of that scrumptious "pie in the sky".

07-19-2026 - Good Morning! It's Sunday, and the only thing I have scheduled, other than composing journal posts here, is watching the World Cup Final at 2:00 PM. My lawn is getting a bit long, but I'll take care of it in a day or two. I'm beginning to add "stories" to the site. Why not? Mail Order Dealers can't live by stamps alone. Not even the counterfeit variety that populates certain Mail Order advertising publications. Let's see what the day brings.
07-18-2026 - These days, the term "wardriving" usually means the practice of driving around town looking for unsecured WiFi networks. Scanner radio enthusiasts were "wardriving" long before WiFi existed. Some scanner enthusiasts had high, tower-mounted antennas and could monitor activity miles away. Other scannists had to move themselves closer to the action. Get the rest of the story!
07-18-2026 - We really need some new information reports with or without reproduction rights. All I see in the Mail Order publications and in an occasional direct mail piece are the same old reports that have been circulating for 35 years that I know of, and probably much longer than that. Look at all the technological and other advances that have been made, and no one in the Extra Income Mail Order industry is writing about them. Not everything is on YouTube!

To make the offer even more laughable, it came with a 50% commission dealership. Now, they were going to do the impossible at half the cost. A $5 calculator and some common sense can save you a lot of money!

07-18-2026 - I saw an interesting ad, containing a website address, in a Mail Order publication. I entered the address into my browser, hit "enter", and I'm presented with a Google Drive sign-in page. I'm puzzled as to why this roadblock is being thrown up when all I want to do is see the product being advertised.

07-18-2026 - Good Morning! It’s Saturday, and I might mow the lawn at the ADSHEET #8 HQ today. And, I might not. I’ve made a few changes to the advertising program over the last few days, but I think I finally have it where I want it. I usually listen to Morse code in the mornings to help wake me up, but today I have the President McKinley CB Radio on a 40-channel scan as the band comes alive. My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.
07-17-2026 - CAMDEN, N.J. – U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer announced that: (i) a former U.S. Postal Service employee admitted to stealing checks from the U.S. mail and selling them to others; (ii) a Philadelphia man admitted to advertising and reselling the stolen checks; (iii) another Philadelphia man admitted to working with others to fraudulently negotiate one of the stolen checks; and (iv) a Mount Laurel man and woman were each sentenced to 57 months’ imprisonment for their roles in negotiating checks stolen as part of the same conspiracy.
07-17-2026 - ROCKFORD — A man has been sentenced to more than six and a half years in federal prison for robbing a United States Post Office in Rockford last year. On May 27, 2025, ANTHONY JOHNSON walked approximately one block from his residence in Rockford to the Post Office, where he reached for a firearm in his waistband and told the clerk to give him all the money in the cash register. After stealing approximately $219, Johnson ran back to his residence, crossing private backyards on his way. Johnson, 59, of Rockford, pleaded guilty in March 2026 to one count of robbing money from the United States. On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Iain D. Johnston sentenced Johnson to six years and eight months in federal prison and ordered him to pay full restitution to the U.S. Postal Service.
07-17-2026 - Today I received an envelope sporting a return name and address that I've seen a hundred times. It's a "program" and I don't do programs. I haven't examined the material closely, but I'm guessing that this person supplies his downline with pre-printed envelopes with his address. Orders probably go to this guy and whoever's name or code number on the order form gets the credit. I'm sure this main man wouldn't have mailed to me that many times. I stopped opening them long ago. But, my hat is off to the guy for figuring out how to spread the word and make money!
07-17-2026 - I’m reminded of the time, several decades ago, when I stopped my mail and newspaper for a 3-day outing. When I returned, the mailbox was stuffed, and three newspapers were in the yard. I’m not making this up. How could both the newspaper and the Post Office fail at the same time? That was the last time I did that. I got a trusted neighbor to watch the house. Over 30 years ago, our local newspaper had an employee who was providing this "stop my newspaper" information to burglars.
07-17-2026 - Here’s a popular product you can make and sell: Morse code bracelets. Any popular short phrase can be converted to Morse code and put on a bracelet using beads from Michaels or Hobby Lobby. The problem with 99.9% of these bracelets that I see online is that they’re gibberish. They’re gibberish because there is no spacing between the characters. Unlike stringing words together with no spaces, doing this to Morse code is not possible. For example, if I write “thedogchasedthecat”, a third-grader can decipher that. In Morse code, you’re lost after the first letter or two. The word “the” in Morse is “_ …. .”. Dog is “_.. _ _ _ _ _.”. But if I jam them together: _ …. ._.. _ _ _ _ _.”. Now, you can’t tell where one character ends and the next begins. In this example, it begins THL instead of THE, and the errors will continue down the line. In Morse code, spacing is everything. So, space your characters, and make some bracelets!
