07-21-2026 - I remember a story a few years ago about a push, by some entity I don’t remember, to have thousands of Post Offices serve as electric vehicle charging stations for the public. The U.S. Postal Service was not very excited about the idea, saying that such a move would negatively impact their ability to provide their core services to the public. I'm guessing this idea was sparked by the fact that the USPS will be employing a large fleet of electric vehicles in the near future, so why not share the charging stations with the public? I have no idea what happened to this idea, as I have no plans to own an electric vehicle.

07-21-2026 - Good Morning! It’s Tuesday, and I got all my yard mowing done yesterday evening in 99-degree heat. In the morning, the grass is too damp due to high humidity. I could have waited for it to cool down in the evening, but it would be too dark to mow! So, it was sunscreen and a wide-brim straw hat!
07-20-2026 - U.S. Department of Justice - CAMDEN, N.J. – U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer announced that: (i) a former U.S. Postal Service employee admitted to stealing checks from the U.S. mail and selling them to others; (ii) a Philadelphia man admitted to advertising and reselling the stolen checks; (iii) another Philadelphia man admitted to working with others to fraudulently negotiate one of the stolen checks; and (iv) a Mount Laurel man and woman were each sentenced to 57 months’ imprisonment for their roles in negotiating checks stolen as part of the same conspiracy.

07-20-2026 - Years ago, my wife asked me to help come up with a name for her arts & crafts group. My offering was L.A.D.I.E.S. - League of Artists, Designers, Inkers, Embossers & Stampers. Unable to leave well enough alone, I offered an alternative name in case they didn't like L.A.D.I.E.S. - Bureau of Inking, Tinting, Collaging, Hot-Gluing, Engraving & Stamping. They chose L.A.D.I.E.S. but thought the other one was funny.

07-20-2026 - Happy Moon Landing Day! I was 17 years old, watching on a black-and-white TV. Of course, the cameras on the moon were black-and-white. People still post that pic of Nixon talking to the astronauts by phone from the Oval Office, citing it as proof that the moon landing was fake. I guess they don't know that the autopatch, or phone patch, is a simple circuit that predates the moon landing. They can be found on eBay for $25 to $50. My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.
07-19-2026 - Back in February of this year, officers of the Port of San Francisco U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized 1,300,000 counterfeit postage stamps valued at around $1,000,000. In March of this year, a San Diego man, who allegedly sold millions of counterfeit U.S. Postage stamps, was charged with mail fraud, counterfeit stamp sales, and money laundering.
07-19-2026 - There’s a lot of talk online about AI putting millions out of work over the coming years. I see those millions resorting to things like multi-level marketing, gifting programs, or similar activities to make ends meet. This will work for some people, but not for others. It doesn’t really matter because under these dire circumstances, those money-making programs will collapse under their own weight. Smart people, while possibly promoting those programs, will also spend a lot of time creating their own products and services to replace lost income.
07-19-2026 - Back around 1992, I wrote 10 one-page reports on a topic that had nothing to do with making money. I composed a one-page sales letter offering those 10 reports with complete reproduction rights for $20.00. I mailed the letter to ten people known to be involved in Extra Income Mail Order. They were not on my in-house mailing list because I did not have one at that time. I was just getting started, and this was my first “information product.” I got one order. That's a 10% response rate. According to the Direct Mail "experts", this is unheard of.
