08-28-2026 - Good Morning! It's Friday, and I don’t have anything important scheduled. Tomorrow is the 44th running of the annual Hotter’ N Hell Hundred bike ride here in Wichita Falls, Texas. It’s billed as the nation’s largest (10,000+ riders) one-day 100-mile ride. While maybe not “Hotter’ n Hell” tomorrow, the current forecast for the event is 104 degrees. Still hot for a bike ride! Today is National Red Wine Day, National Bow Tie Day, Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, Crackers Over The Keyboard Day, International Read Comics in Public Day, National Thoughtful Day, Makaton International Awareness Day, and National Cherry Turnover Day. My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.
08-27-2026 - Below is the toilet paper and paper towel aisle at the I-44 Walmart in Wichita Falls, Texas, on March 12, 2020 - Covid times. I just thought you'd like to see that. I only hoarded a little at a time. Sometimes I would buy two packs of TP instead of one. It slowly adds up. Today, I have about 60 rolls on standby for the next event. Wait... just yesterday I saw a news item about a possible TP shortage due to tariffs. I'm ready!
08-27-2026 - Today I received another offer to advertise in hundreds of adsheets. The list is quite lengthy and the names of these adsheets are interesting. As I've mentioned before, I'm curious as to why I've never seen any of these adsheets during my 30 years in Mail Order. Maybe they'll show up one of these days.

08-27-2026 - Good Morning! It’s Thursday, and my local forecast is calling for a frigid 99 degrees. I’ll take it. Yesterday, I mailed a 1-inch “site announcement” ad to yet another one of our popular adsheets. I might do some lawn mowing this morning, and I might not. Today is National Tug of War Day, Hungry Ghost Festival, National Just Because Day, International Lottery Day, Legacy Week, The Duchess Who Wasn’t Day, Lyndon Baines Johnson Day, and Crab Soup Day. Let’s see what the day brings. For now, my Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready!
