09-15-2026 - The Classifieds Directory was a fantastic 10-page advertiser featuring income opportunities, newsletters, pen pal clubs, reports, and more. It was 99% pure text, my kind of publication! This April-May-June 2007 issue was the last of its run. I should have made an offer to buy the publication.
09-15-2026 - Staff of the Federal Trade Commission today published frequently asked questions on price transparency to help the automobile industry comply with the FTC Act. The guidance reiterates that the advertised price of a vehicle must be the actual price that any consumer can walk in and pay to purchase the vehicle, excluding only charges that the government requires the consumer to pay. The rest of the story!

09-15-2026 - I recently received a phishing email saying my Prime account had been disabled and I needed to verify some information. The source email address had "qrngbffksrvqnkr" before the @ symbol. I'm wondering why that didn't go straight to my spam folder.

09-15-2026 - Good Morning! Today is Tuesday, and my local forecast calls for another 103-degree day. It’s getting a little late in the year for a temperature this high. I received a new ad yesterday, so check it out on the “Read Ads” page. Today is also World Afro Day, National Double Cheeseburger Day, National Cheese Toast Day, Greenpeace Day, National Inclusion Week, International Dot Day, Chef Appreciation Week, and National Online Learning Day. My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready!
09-14-2026 - Instead of jump-starting a new program by filling in those empty spaces with family members, give those spaces away to other active dealers. It looks better, and they'll probably mail as many circulars as your family members will. That's my opinion, but I don't do programs, so what do I know?
09-14-2026 - Quoting the U.S. Postal Service: "Scammers peddle fake stamps on social media marketplaces, e-commerce sites via third-party vendors, and other websites. Counterfeit stamps are often sold in bulk quantities at a significant discount–anywhere from 20 to 50 percent of their face value." The article goes on to say that even accidentally using a counterfeit stamp is a federal crime. Yep, Post Office for me!
09-14-2026 - Have you found a penny in the street lately? It was probably a dime when someone dropped it.
09-14-2026 - Not much was in the mail today. A few postcards arrived, but they went straight into the trash. I have never received a postcard for a Mail Order “product or service. All postcards have been for money-making programs. If I’m not going to do programs, then what choice do I have but to toss the cards? There was a mailing with three separate, color sales circulars for the same program, except each was for a different dollar amount to join. I think one circular could have done the job nicely. Also, the circulars were partially in color. Color has always been wasted on me because it usually conveys no information. It means nothing to me other than someone is wasting color ink on their inkjet printer.
09-14-2026 - Nowadays, everything is a bargain because by the time you get it home, the price has gone up.

09-14-2026 - The META Ray-Ban glasses are in the news more and more. I can see businesses banning them just like they did the Google “Glass” version some years ago. Some wearers will say they need them due to a disability. Have you seen the TV commercial abut META giving free glasses to blind individuals? Some wearers will try to pull the “emotional support glasses” excuse out of their butts. Let’s see what happens.

09-14-2026 - According to the U.S. Postal Service, today marks the 114th anniversary of USPS Operation Santa. The USPS is now accepting letters from children and families across the USA. You can “adopt” and respond to these letters. Contact the USPS locally or visit the USPS website for more information.
09-14-2026 - I'm having cold pizza and coffee for breakfast. I get two large Little Caesars sausage pizzas for under $17, including tax. Always plenty left over.
09-14-2026 - Mail Order Dealer Website Idea #2 - Just Write! - Writing blog posts is a great way to get people to your site to expose them to your products, services, and opportunities. If there were such websites out there, updated regularly and owned by Mail Order Dealers, I would visit them every day! Sadly, I still haven't found even one. I’m not talking about “advertising" websites, I mean sites that act as a Mail Order Dealer's personal home base.
