10-06-2026 - Some workers are trying to make both weekends meet.
10-06-2026 - Mail Order Dealer Website Idea #15 - Password Profits - The idea is to post your valuable information, such as information reports, reprint reports, mailing lists, and other information products, in a directory on your website. You then "password-protect" that directory and, instead of printing the material for each sale, you send the purchaser the password. You can make the password permanent and allow continued access to the directory, continually updating it with new information. It's up to you!

10-06-2026 - Good Morning! Today is Tuesday, and it's also National Taco Day, National Noodle Day, World Cerebral Palsy Day, National Coaches Day, National Transfer Money to Your Daughter Day, National Physician Assistant Day, National Badger Day, National Mad Hatter Day, and National German-American Day. MY Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.
10-05-2026 - Today's mail included another batch of 18 lb copy paper. This lightweight stuff is not what I would use for a letterhead, but it's great for mailing text advertising. You can easily mail six sheets for one unit of postage. The other mail mostly consisted of worn-out, overworked programs mailed by people who don't yet realize they're worn out and overworked. Could we get some new programs, please? I don't do programs, so I'm asking on behalf of those who do.
10-05-2026 - Have you noticed that some sales circulars are easier to “hijack” than others? Some of the basic “paper passing” programs are the easiest. In these programs, the ad itself is the only product. When you send in your money, you get a copy of the ad with your name on it that you can publish and troll for suckers. Since there’s no other product to deliver, no one will ever know you hijacked the ad by not sending the order to the ad's owner. Programs with multiple names are also easy to hijack if there is no real product involved. I’m not suggesting that you hijack circulars. I’m just explaining how it can happen. I guess it’s funny if the hijacker gets his forged circular hijacked, but he would never know. The moral of this story? Sell a real product or perform a real service. Hijackers won’t last long without sending the ordered product.
10-05-2026 - My mailbox was full of multi-level marketing and gifting program circulars today. The advertising websites are loaded with them, and I'm sure the mailboxes of most Mail Order Dealers are loaded with them. The more I think about it, the more I want to make my advertising program completely program-free. Why not? There's nothig like a narrow niche!
10-05-2026 - While traveling across town to visit a bank and a supermarket in little old Wichita Falls, Texas (population 102,300), I encountered eight (8) Tesla cars in motion. I know where a Cybertruck is parked, but I'm not counting it. Wichita Falls, no more than 12 miles wide in any direction, is a perfect place for electric vehicles. I’ll probably never own one.
10-05-2026 - I have the G4FON CW (Morse code) trainer spitting out “dits and dahs” while I work on other things. When it comes to Amateur (ham) Radio, I’m 99% in listening mode these days, so the CW trainer helps keep my Morse receive speed up.
10-05-2026 - The current economic "uneasiness" should not be an excuse to dive into the next "get rich quick" offer that lands in your mailbox. Instead, take the time to come up with marketable products or services that you own, products and services that fit the theme of this journal. You'll sleep better at night and make more money in the long run.

10-05-2026 - Mail Order Dealer Website Idea #14 - Downloading For Dollars - You can create an advertiser as a downloadable PDF file. Invite dealers to submit a free 200-word ad for the advertiser. Once you have enough ads, you can offer the file for download for a small fee. You can set up a PayPal account for payment, if you wish, and then either email the file to them or provide a password and a link to the file location where they can download it. You can either charge for the file and give away the ad space, or vice versa. I like the "free ad" version. I'm sure you can come up with many variations of this idea.
10-05-2026 - In the news - Employees are 'loud working' in an effort to secure their jobs, Iran says there is no military solution to war, Are We Losing Control of AI?, In Texas, Barbecue Sandwiches Are Bigger Than Ever.
10-05-2026 - I sometimes see ads for printed clip art collections. There was a time when the average home-based business had no choice but to cut out a piece of paper clip art and paste it onto the master copy of a sales letter or circular. Now, of course, we design most of our sales material using a computer. Is anyone still pasting in 2026? It's not a bad thing, but I wanted to ask.

10-05-2026 - Good Morning! It's Monday, and that means back to work for some. For others, it doesn't mean a thing. 10-04-2026 - Here's an idea: Split a 3-inch display ad with another dealer. Each dealer publishes their copy with non-competing ads. Dealers coordinate to ensure they publish in different ad adsheets or ad magazines. Each dealer gets twice the coverage, more space than a 1-inch ad, but not twice the cost.
