08-20-2026 - Good Morning! It's Thursday, and I’ve been doing a lot of editing of the “POST ADS” page lately. Somewhere over the last few days, I deleted my email address and didn’t notice until last night. My site is still very new, so maybe no one even noticed it. Since I can’t change the past, I won’t spend a lot of time worrying about it. Another hot day is in the forecast. I’m ready for Winter and a little snow! My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.
08-19-2026 - In 1982, I was referred to Dr. Phil (yep, that Dr. Phil) to learn biofeedback as a possible relief for the cluster headaches I had been plagued with for a dozen years. After an interview with Dr. Phil at his office on Fillmore Street (pic below) in Wichita Falls, Texas. I was handed off to an associate to learn the technique. I did learn, but it didn't help the headaches. I can see where biofeedback could help in other situations, but I think the cluster headaches were just too painful to overcome. In 1986, I learned that oxygen knocks them out. I've been cluster-free since that time. It's like the headaches knew I had found a cure, so they moved on to someone else.

08-19-2026 - In my city, we have a senior citizen activity center. I don’t attend as often as I used to. Several years ago, a group of older adults was playing dominoes. While heated words were not uncommon, one meeting erupted into a challenge from one player to another to move the argument to the parking lot, where it could be settled properly. They indeed headed to the parking lot, but they never made it. I think they forgot what it was all about and went home. In response to this curious event, I purchased two pool noodles from Walmart and attached them to a support column next to their table. I added this note: Domino Game Dispute Resolution Rods. The display was a hit with management.

08-19-2026 - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, and the most strenuous activity I have planned is spraying insecticide around the house. Our high temperature yesterday was 107 degrees, and 108 is forecast for today. Looking at our popular Mail Order advertising publications, both print and online, I get the idea that they would be out of business if they eliminated ads for MLM, gifting, and other programs. Luckily for me, I don't depend on income from this site. I operate this site for a therapeutic reason: it’s fun! My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.
08-18-2026 - According to the information I can find, the U.S. Government stopped production of pennies in November, 2025. The coin, costing almost 4 cents to manufacture, remains legal tender and can be used for financial transactions and banking. The nickel, costing almost 14 cents to manufacture, will continue to be produced as it is needed for “rounding” in transactions due to the phasing out of the penny. When I was in grade school, you could buy a sandwich cookie for a penny at the corner grocery store on the way to or from school, or both! White Castle sliders cost just 12 of those pennies!

08-18-2026 - 4:40 PM - I contacted a station in Niagara Falls State Park (US-2113) in New York on 20 meters (14 MHz) CW (Morse code) in the Amateur (ham) Radio Parks on the Air® program.
